Has anyone else ever overcome BED or Binge Eating Disorder? So far, I have been working with a therapist to combat my eating disorder. I have learned the following tricks...

Keep a journal
Eat six times a day
No eating while doing something pleasurable
Sleep in the dark and silence
Eat in the kitchen
Eat fruits and vegetables
Talk yourself out of cravings
Eat and sleep at certain times

Has anyone else had any other additional tricks told to them that work for BED? I was just wondering if anyone else with the disorder has any feedback.

One I have used over the years is never carry money to work. Pack a healthy, but filling lunch. I always binged from stress, hitting the vending machines with as much as 15 dollars a day. Now I look better, feel better and have much more money to call my own.

I just try to be aware of my feelings. I can be a really emotional eater.
If I am stressed, depressed, sad, or angry...most of the time I will turn to food.

Where I eat isn't an issue. I can gorge in the kitchen and I can gorge in my bed. It doesn't really matter.

I think the biggest thing is just knowing your emotional triggers. I think a therapist can really help with that and it's good to see you are working with a therapist. I wish you the best!
