I'm 5'0" and weigh about 135 lbs. I wear a size 10 in jeans now (Gloria Vanderbilt and St. John's Bay brands from J.C. Penney), and a "large" in tops to accommodate back fat and larger arms. Yuck. I'm also a member of the IBTC, but that's what padded bras are for!
I'm grateful that I don't have to hem my jeans anymore, that there are pants designed for short people. Back in the 70s and early 80s I remember having to cut several inches of material off, and even then the hem was at least two inches long!
Thats funny, I am 5'3", 113lbs, and wear a 0 or 00. But I am a muscular 113lbs, and muscle weighs more, so maybe thats why.
Myth - muscle weighs more. A lb of fat is 16 oz, a lb of muscle is 16 oz
Fact - muscle is DENSER than fat so 2 people of the same weight may look different. If one is more muscular, with less adipose tissue, he/she will appear trimmer.
I'm female, 5'3'' and a muscular 127-130 lbs. Typically, in most pants I wear a size 4, sometimes a size 2 (I have a 26 inch waist). In tops I am pretty much always an XS--most tops seem to run so HUGE that many XS are too big for me! I'm a 32D or 34C in cup size (depending on bra), for reference.
Whats funny is when I tell people what I weigh they typically don't believe me. I look like I'd be ~110 because of how "small" I am, yet since I'm runner and have began lifting weights, I've gained quite a bit of muscle. Not trying to brag, I just think it's interesting.

Thank you! How can a pound of muscle weigh more than a pound of fat? It's not "heavier" but more dense as you stated.

And you fluctuate 20lbs up and down!??? Thats crazy, and not too healthy imo. Not meaning to be rude, just dont think thats very healthy for your heart or metabolism.
yeah well pregnancy tends to make your weight fluctuate.
Besides my boobs are too big, no way I could wear a size 0 dress or shirt.
I'm 20 years old and am 5'5" at 113-115 pounds. I generally wear a size 3 jean, but sometimes 5 depending on the brand. I always wear medium-sized shirts. I can get away with it because I have a small breast size.
I hate to admit it, but I am EXTREMELY anal about my weight. If I gain just a couple of pounds, I totally freak out and want to work out. I stop eating all that I believe is unhealthy for me, basically cutting out any and all fats. I know it sounds bad... But I just can't help it. I feel that I can control it well, so I do. I am also small-framed so it looks totally normal on me as well.
I'm 5'6" weigh 130 and wear a size 4/6 pant a small top.
Alot of my clothes do depend on the cut they are. Right now I am wearing a size 6 in a pair of levis but in the normal 515 levis I wear, its a size 4. The biggest difference is that the ones I have on are lower on the rise than the 515's.

You should talk to someone about that. That is disordered eating. You want to nip it in the bud before it becomes an eating disorder. Cutting out all fats just makes you have dry skin/hair/nails, prone to gallstones and poor vitamin absorption. In the long term that will have a negative impact on your metabolism. I'm small framed too so I do know what 5 pounds can mean. But to take it to unhealthy measures to fix it when you don't have to, is not good. Especially with the comment: " I can't help it". Thats not normal or healthy control.
It has always fascinated me how 2 women similar to weight and height can be so different when it comes to clothing sizes.
I have a best friend that is 5'7 and weigh 125. She wears a size 6. A few years ago I was 150 pounds and I am 5'6. I wore a size 6 also, 8s were way too big on me.
I read somewhere about different women comparing their weight, height and size and they were all different totally different.
How can we ever just look at a chart such as BMI and determine if someone is overweight or not? I would be very close to overweight at 150 but wearing a size six most of you would laugh if I said I was overweight.
Just some things on my mind.
Thanks
I'm 5'4", 140 and in a size 4/6-depending on the designer. When I was 130, I was still in a size 4/6....so I'd have to be really sickly to be anything smaller than a 4/6.
