Does anyone know where I can buy a couple of ramps for my 11 yr old MinPin? I'd like to get a small one for her favorite chair and a ramp for our bed. Thanks

I know Overstock and Amazon have a few. Amazon has free shipping on most of them, and Overstock is something like $2 shipping, so they are your best bet since it will cost a lot to ship something that big!

i've checked at petsmart and they do have some as well, but they seem weirdly built on the ends to me... like maybe they're made for automobiles only... but you could check, maybe they've updated their stock.

(my step-father and i built barnaby's ramp. a couple of pieces of sturdy plywood and some leftover carpet and, voila, one ramp that's as big as i am... seriously! 54" x 26". haha! he loves it! we do need to build a little one for the couch as well. maybe i will put that on my to-do list now that i am thinking about it. )

Thank you both.
I am going to check Overstock, Amazon and Petsmart. I would try to build a couple, but I'm not good with hammers or that sort of thing, lol.

I would say build them also. If not good with construction and jack ofall trades around or even a high school student to build one and most likely find plans on google. Be cheaper and better quality and get fit to your dimensions.

To build a ramp for a small dog all you should need is a 4 x 6 or 4x 8 and some stair tread. AceHardware sells No-Slip by the foot. It is like a fine sandpaper with a peel & stick application.

Hey Col - don't know how handy you are but a small dog "triangle ramp" is really easy to construct. All it takes is 3 pieces of plywood, 4 hinges and a few pieces of trim. You can also cover it with carpet or fabric to match your "design style".

DM me is you want more details on materials and construction. You can complete it in about an hour and because of the hinges, it can be folded flat when not in use.

Building a dog ramp for a small dog is relatively easy if you have basic tools.
You just need the wood, some carpet remnants or the self stick squares, hammer, nails (or drill and screws) and a saw.
Friends I know built a ramp for their yorkie to get to the couch and bed. But they didn't want a big long ramp stretching into the living room or bedroom. So they built 2 triangle ramps and joined them together at a landing. First they built a landing which was a small table essentially at the midpoint from the couch to the ground. Then they built 2 ramps, one from ground to the landing, one from the landing to the couch.
Then they joined all 3 parts together with screws.
Their dog loved it and continues to use it.
Go for it!
