These stories are hilarious..I think I must be blessed with a wonder dog because the one time Sydney pooped in the house was when we were down at my parents. We were in a part of the house that is almost all carpet with the exception of one narrow section of wood floors between two rooms and he had his accident on that narrow strip of wood. Now, my parents other two dogs will not pee/poop/puke on anything but carpet..their one dog won't even sit if her butt isn't on carpet. And Sydney does cover our bed in wet, dirty paws often

How do they know????

What are your stories?
I think they come equppied with "clean floor" radars that alert them when the floor is in pristine condition.

We have all hardwood throughout our house (the exception being the stairs, and we carpeted those when Odie slipped and fell on the stairs). When he had to throw up, he did it on the stairs! Not just one stair, but the landing and three stairs. Way to spread it around!

We also had two large area rugs (one in the LR and one in the DR) and Lanie peed on one and vomited poop on the other. We got rid of the rugs, then finally put a new rug down...a week later Odie threw up on it...after months of not throwing up. What can you do?

Another thing.. how can they sleep for hours but the minute I am ready to go to bed.. one of them has to go out and it is not just and out and in.. It is out and in.. go to bed.. get up.. out and in for an hour. I know I should be grateful she at least let me know she had problems. I do need my beauty rest ya know.

Ohohoh.. you sweep up a little pile of dirt and what do they do..like it. Why can they lick it up before I have to sweep.
