I have a 13 week old mix puppy who weights about 8 pounds. His mother looked to be a small chocolate lab. I am trying to figure out what he might be mixed with. I would appreciate any suggestions.

oh man he is CUTE. He looks like he is brindle right? Maybe American Bull Dog? Once he starts growing you will probably start to see more physical traits that will better help you identify. Right now he just looks like your typical adorable puppy

Certainly see the chocolate. I agree that you'll see more when he's older, and remember, not all mutts are 50/50 anything! Some are just Heinz 57 or 57/50.
He's perfectly adorable!

That is the Short Haired American Brindled Chow Hound. They are mostly a kibble hunting dog.

GAH!!!! That is one CUTE puppy!

I say he's chocolate Lab mixed with cuteness.

I have no idea what kind of mix he really is so I'll stick to my Lab/cuteness guess. He's just flippin' ADORABLE!

Have the BEST life with him!

Oh, that's easy...he's 100% cutie patootie!

LOL, I have no idea as I'm terrible at identifying mixed breeds. He is such a little dollie though!

My puppy looked very similar to that when we got him. If you check out my pics you can see what he looks like now. We call him a plott hound, because that's what he closely resembles. We know his momma was a lab, but the daddy - not a clue. We were lucky in the fact that we got to see the litter mates and that helped us identify the other breeds that might be in my furbaby. We think that he has some sort of hound, possibly rotti, and either boxer or pit/american bull. I have a pic of his sister on my page, too. She looks like a full lab though.

Anyway, Your baby is very cute. Enjoy your time with him.
