My lab mix is not as snuggly or playful as he use to be is this normal

No, j/k...labs take about 3 years to settle down into adult doghood. It's probably normal overall.

That's true, though it was 4 years for my lab...........and even now, at 13, I wonder about her, she still acts like a pup sometimes, especially if there's a squirrel around.

That's one of the things I love about labs. Mine acts like a puppy everytime I come home!!

i have to say same thing happened to me. As I got older I wanted less cuddles and was less playful. I think it is pretty universal in the living world.
