My Basset had a tooth removed and the rest of his teeth scraped. It was over $700. Not sure how much accounted for just the extraction and anesthesia. The size of your dog will make it more expensive because anesthesia costs increase with size.
i just paid $270 for one of my cats to have her teeth cleaned and 2 extracted.... one of her canines had broken and when i took her to the vet, he discovered what terrible condition the rest of her teeth were in .... by the time we went back the next day so he could anesthetize her, the original broken canine had already fallen out, but he ended up having to pull 2 more teeth while he had her under.......
Hi, Latetotheparty,
I just moved into St. Louis area. And my cat has serious dental problem that need to be taken care of. I have called several pet clinic to ask for a price quote. They all gave me something from $500-$800, which is kind of expensive to me. If it is ok with you, could you give me the information about which animal clinic you took your cat for the dental care? Or any other recommendations? I will truly appreciate any information that helps.

Several years ago, my male broke off a bottom tooth to the gum and it cost me about 300.00 for the extraction and a dental cleaning. (I figured while he was sedated, do as much as possible)
My female broke one of her teeth loose and it is laying down flat, under her tongue. She also broke the very tip off one of her incisors. I did have the vet look at her mouth, where he informed me she has cracked and chipped several teeth. I choose not to have the tooth extracted and she has been fine for years. I do check her mouth almost daily, when we are interacting.
My room mate has a very large dog who loves to chew up tennis balls. I was playing with him a few weeks ago and noticed the dog has no front teeth on the bottom and one tiny sliver of a piece on the top. I think, the dog must be in terrible pain. But, he does not act like it at all. Still chewing his tennis balls, eats fine.
$5 a couple of months ago. But the dog was already under for neutering. It's the anesthetic part of the procedure that is so expensive. The vet just popped the tooth out while he was doing the rest of it.
Free toe nail clip while the dog was out, too.
10 dollars here per tooth. This was for a cat, but like yours, she was already going under for a spay.
Can anyone please update with recent costs of having dog's teeth extracted? My vet here in NY state quoted between $2000, and $3000 total cost!! I am already broke with our county's high taxes....It might be cheaper for me to drive to a another state and get a hotel than paying this!!!

What do you get for $3,000? All the teeth removed and a nice new set of dentures with a diamond set into one of the fangs?
Are you sure that isn't a quote for a jaw realignment, which happens to cost about that much.
Contact a Doggie Dental School. Really I would call around But pricing would only be guess work... since they no clue what they may find once the dogs on the table.
My Aussie girl had an upper carnassial tooth with an abscessed root extracted two years ago for $323. She was 12 1/2 years old and 43 pounds at the time. That charge included a $16 regular clientele discount so the total would've been $339 for a new client. We live in the Midwest and my vet is highly regarded in our area.
Our rescue pup had all of his teeth removed....what ones were left, right before we adopted him. The bill was $260, but since it was for a rescue, that might have been heavily discounted. We reimbursed the rescue for the vet bill, which was our adoption fee.
