I usually buy Frontline at Costco ($35 for 3 mos supply). Today, all they had was K9 Advantix ($45 for 4 mos supply) so I'm curious as to what you all prefer to use.

Thanks.

We use Frontline Plus and also have gotten it for that price at Costco. Not familiar w/ K9 Advantix, nothing against them, just am more familiar w/ FP.

I have used both. The only problem that I have had is Frontline Plus seemed to quit working where I live. K9 works and it seems to last longer plus it repels mosquitoes

I also have used Advantage.. which works where I live.

Great point, Keeper. A lot of the time, it depends on where you live. I have also heard others complain that Frontline stopped working. I have no personal experience with K9 Advantix but I believe it to be comparable--if not better, depending on where you live--that Frontline. I use Frontline b/c it works and b/c I like to keep topical pesticides (and all other meds and vaccs) at a minimum.

Frontline Plus works where we live and we prefer it. Plus, there are often foster cats at our house and K9 Advantix poisons cats so they can't be around it until it dries (which on one of my dogs could be days).

I have been using frontline plus on my dogs for 3 years but last July my dog had fles and infested the house and now it is happening again. I give it to them both regularly every month like clock work and also have them on heartworm preventive but I have a big problem again. I have sprayed my house, their outdoor kennel and even gave them Capitar but it still seems to be a problem so when I use the last of their Frontline Plus I am going to switch to K9 Advantix and see if that works better.

If you have fleas in your carpet sprinkle Borax on it and let it sit for 24 hours. I usually take a broom and sweep it to get it in the carpet. Then vacuum it up. Wait 2 weeks and do it again... It works.

I use Frontline Spray, so I can get their legs and underbellies. I live rural in woods and farm land with lots of wildlife. It works great for me and mine, I do use it every 3 weeks vs every 4 (OK'd by vet who lives in same area).

Frontline Plus no longer works for us, either. Advantix worked, but we have cats, too. I've been using Revolution on our cats and dogs, it works better than FP. The only problem is that it's ineffective against ticks, which we have a lot of. There is a lot of Lyme disease here. I can't win.
