Several dogs I have had seem embarrassed to do poo with someone watching. It's a thing.

Mine isn't shy. He'll make direct eye contact while pooping.

But I have heard of shy dogs. My sister's dog will not eat while someone is watching him.

Yeah, I've had a few dogs that were shy about it...some ended up being okay if I saw them, but didn't want anyone else to see. LOL

I had a Male dog like that when it came to breeding... Look at him he go lay down & ignore the female. I had to hide inside & peek thru the curtains

I can't even be in the room when my cat uses the cat box. She waits for me to leave room before she enters. I suppose it can be the same with some dogs too.
