Sorry, I was thinking in terms of Sam, a big basset hound mix, who is now gone. All of those things were his favorite. Add a spoonful of peanut butter, that would have been a dog heaven day for him. Of course, I forgot to include about 10 kids who would play ball with him contnously, pet and scratch him all day long. He loved kids, other dogs, and anyone with time to give him a quick pet. If you added a hotdog, he was yours for life.

The nice things about dogs, is that it is so easy to make them happy.

Awww, I'm sorry that Sam is gone.

Sam sounds EXACTLY like the dog that I wanted. And was looking for. But Artie found me first. And Artie needed me more than any dog could. So...

The rest is history.

Nice of you to take Artie. I have a cat now, who is probably not the perfect, cuddly cat that I am used to...he does not like to be held at all. But, I adopted him as an adult, who knows how many owners he has had, or what his life has been like before he came here. He has a good life now...I bought him a bed, but he prefers the folded blanket at the foot of my bed. That is "his" place.
