Sure does appear to be, but with out papers one could never be 100% sure. You could always spring for a DNA test ($45) if you really want to know.

Yes. Cute dog but why is someone holding him by the neck? H looks uncomfortable and his ears are flat back which is a sign of submission. Was he being punished?

Actually, most DNA tests do NOT include results for pits or Am Staffs, to prevent breed-specific discrimination.

This does look a lot like a pit bull, though.

I thought someone might be scratching him under the chin...? Depending on context, flat ears CAN be a sign of contentment (when paired with a wagging tail, etc). My puppy does this pretty frequently. I've got a training book that talks about this, but it's not in front of me to directly quote from.

Thanks for pointing that out! I never checked the breeds that can be tested!
LOL...We actually used one of these tests on a rescue my daughter has...a whole conglomeration of results! But we knew Pit would not be one of them.
