I've not had interest, let alone an adoption in months but the last week or so I've had at least half a dozen people contact me about adopting both our dogs and courtesy listings we have. I sent one to a friend that runs a rescue that I'm affiliated with and told her I had no clue what the sudden interest was but I'm so happy. She told me it's Adopt A Shelter Pet month. I had no clue.

Don't know if that's the reason or not, but I've got applications on all three of 'our' dogs (one dog has 2 pending applications!), as well as applications for two of an affiliate rescues dogs!! I just saw a little Schnauzer / Shih Tzu puppy that's 6 months old that someone's giving away the other day and wanted to help, but as full as we are I couldn't. If these adoptions go through.............maybe I can!!

This is really great to hear. I think adoptions have been down everywhere. I really hope these adoptions go through!

I think adoptions might have gone up with the increase of pictures on the internet for all kinds of shelters and rescues, plus the overall petfinder. You can "shop" without going somewhere and fearing feeling terrible, or if you want a certain type of dog.
