hello, i just want to meet other people who own & love doberman pinschers. my 11 yr old dobe..rain...passed away monday may 11th /2009. i have been so depressed ! i also have a sweet jack russell & we have a chow age 12 and a belgian malinois. i love them all. but dobermans are so special strong & beautiful. my girl loved everyone. dogs, kids..everyone! she had arthritis and her back legs would give out at times. iam only glad of one thing..i live in hopes that now she is in ehaven waiting for me & has a brand new body with no pain. but i miss her. my heart is broken. iam pretty sure she had a heart attack. she was fine & then 30 minutes later she had just gone to heaven. add me if u love dogs! maria. Your poll is Not fair!! I may Love the breed But that does not mean I should have the breed. So saying NO I perfer another breed without other No choices is not Fair!!!
Missy, passed away back in May of 2006. She was my 4th redhead rescue Doberman. She's pictured here falling asleep sitting up in the garage, one night after a busy day.
I am so very sorry and I know how hard it is. I lost my last dobie to the pet food fiasco in '07. Adopted another last year and he's great. Wasn't sure I was ready but am glad I did. I'm looking for other Dobie owners in Las Vegas, as I'd love to see others at the dog parks we go to. If you ever visit let me know. I know this is a late post to yours but I just read it and boo hood.

I am on my third rescued Doberman. I absolutely ADORE them and get along great with their personalities. I find that their ADHD personalities match my family perfectly. I will always have one and have a small dog along with the dobe. I put my second dobe to sleep about 4 months after I got the third one....hoping the older one would rub her knowledge all over the goofy puppy. My first was black/tan and cropped/docked. The second and third were (are) fawn/tan and natural/docked.
I know what you feel, Our Dobie Margo looked just like your Missy, Please feel free to contact me anytime at my email. ejotylives@hotmail.com. We recently adopted a Black Dobie Female, we call her Beauty. She was mistreated and kept as a breeding dog in a kennel. We are slowly trying to house break her with the help of our Chihuahua and Hugs, praises and treats. She is intelligent and desires to learn. If you can please try to find one that needs love, they will very grateful to you. Just ask Beauty.
