The Sandcastles water park in Pittsburgh hosted a canine pool party today!
Large dogs got to swim in the wave pool and dogs under 35lbs got to swim in the kiddy pool.
It corresponded with the last day the park is open so the dogs would be swimming just prior to the pools being emptied for the end of season.
My lab and beagle/basset would have loved it. I hope they make it an annual event.

Awe!
I've never heard of such an event!
It sounds so cool!
Has anyone ever taken their dog to a doggie pool party?

We had one of those here too. It was $4 a dog and people got in free it sounded like fun!! But all of our dogs hate the water even our lab mix, but I bet Teddie would have loved it. Next time, Next time!!

Do corgies swim? Teddy be careful I know a few shtzu [sp] that drown. their long coats when wet pull them down plus the short noses harder for them to breath.

I have a corgi/Malamute and she can swim. She doesn't like it, but if she ever fell in our pool she knows were the stairs are.

Oh that sounds really neat!!! My dog HATES the water and freaks out every time he has to get a bath...lol We always have to lure him in with treats and then get it done real quick. He just hangs his head down and lets us bathe him and he is beyond happy when its all over! The only time he goes in the water is if its thundering or there are fireworks and I'm taking a shower.
