Got a new dog few weeks ago and she was an outside dog.
Had issues getting her to "go" outside, then took her to a spot..
She had gone before and now i can take her to that area and..
She is accident free. She has started grumbling/growling??at me..
If im not paying attention to her.She gets attention and walks.
Is this something that needs corrected?i wouldnt know how to correct..
It anyway. She is generally sweet and wants to meet everyone she..
Sees on the street.Im guessing she is lab/golden mix but she has..
White on her belly, tail and bottom of her legs.
I know her growling, grumbling is to communicate but..
Im worried maybe she thinks she is the pack leader or something.
And at times she will bark after growling.

My friend that raises guide dog puppies has always had Golden pups that grumble a lot so it may just be a Golden thing. Chaos grumbles as she walks around too and I just ignore her and to be honest find it funny as she has an opinion on EVERTHING!
One story that comes to mind is a man had just rescued a Labrador Retriever. He stated that for the first few weeks the dog would just look at him and growl. He stated that he gave the dog lots of love and affection. Then one day the dog walked up to him and pushed its nose into his arm begging to be loved back. He states from that point forward the dog loved him back. When in reality the dog was growling at the new owner in order to establish who was going to run the new pack. When the dog was satisfied that the new owner was below him in the order he went over and demanded to be pet by pushing into the human, nudging their arm up. When the human complied to the dogs demand and pet the dog the deal was set. The Lab was now the leader of the new pack. The owner had stated that the dog loves him but is not so sure about everyone else. This was not the dog loving him, it was the dog taking over.

I am still a week from taking a puppy in for the 1st time in my life, but already sort of knew what was happening, reading your OP (your dog assumed he was the leader in the house).
Sounds like she's "telling" you to pay attention to her. Play deaf and blind, and as soon as she quiets down, then pay attention. She loves you but she's being too bossy.

Agreed. With a dominate dog personality if you give them an inch they will take a mile and fill that "alpha" role over their humans. The OP needs to exude confidence and control during walks and any other time his new dog begins to get pushy. Rember, dogs pick up on our moods and our body language much more than we even recognize we are doing ourselves.
Repeat after me: you are the boss, not your dog. It is not cute when a dog pushes/pulls you around or barks/growls for no confirmable reason. It is bad manners from the dog.
been there, done that, saved by a good trainer...... *SIGH*

Not sure, but i think your new buddy, is trying to see what he can get away with. You need to love him, but be the one in charge.
Give your buddy and inch, and they are going to take a mile. Have found that out in the past.
There was a while when our dylan would not eat unless we stood there and watched him eat, praised him, and told him your doing great, he is a picky eater.
We knew what was happening. Then we just gave him his food, and went about our business, so he learned, when it was time to eat, he eats, and we have other things to do.
For a while he just would not eat until hours later, making me crazy. Finally it hit him, he does not eat, the food will be taken away, he finally got it, and now eats his food, without us having to sit watch.
He was telling us, without us watching him, he would not eat, had to correct that, before it went onto other areas.
