Too cute!!!!
In our old neighborhood, my friend had two Labs (Simon and Sadie) who he walked off-leash. We'd always walk together (Artie was on-leash, obviously) and -- without fail -- Simon would always take Artie's leash and help me walk him.

We had one German Shepherd who would hold his own leash in his mouth on a walk. Occasionally, I'd drape the end on his back and let him walk himself (for about 10 steps or so).
