Me and the wife really want to adopt a pit bull instead of buying from a breeder or something like that.I can't really seem to find a rescue in West Virginia and was hoping yall could help me locate one.
Every dog pound in the country is stuffed full of them. It's difficult to believe that you can't find a pit bull who needs a home.
If you are a homeowner, that's good. There are some nice pit bulls out there. But if you are a renter, give up your pit bull plan, or you may end up homeless yourself.

The OP could be in an area where pit bulls/pit bulls mixes are automatically euthanized when they enter the pound. Sadly, there are shelters out there that will put even pittie puppies down the second they enter the pound and won't even try to adopt them out. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of overwhelmed shelters in rural areas, especially in the South, don't bother much with pits
