My 3 dogs got sick from California Natural late last year.

Will never buy it again.

I'm so glad I switched my dog off Innova after their last recall. He likes Blue Buffalo better anyway.

Good thing I didn't buy Karma for Karma just because the food had the same name she does. But it's just a matter of time, no matter what commercial food you feed.

The recall just keeps expanding. I don't even see how this is possible except due to extreme incompetence. They recalled everything, "cleaned up everything" (so said the letter I received after the late April/May recall), restarted production, and now they're pulling all their newest products for the exact same reason? It's madness.

Wasn't this company bought by one of the major home product companies like Mars or Procter and Gamble? I know that California Natural was my go to food for the longest time for my cat who had quite a sensitive stomach before we found Orijen, and I had thought about switching back when she started to have reactions from her medication, but I thought someone told me the company had been sold which made a bit nervous. I don't understand how these food companies continue to deal with contamination. I hope that no animals are negatively affected because of it.

My dogs don't eat any of their products, thankfully.

Yes, it was bought a few years ago by P&G.

Adding to the original post, Mother Nature treats which are also manufactured by Natura are also on recall.

My rep was not pleased speaking with me today. Basically informed him that I am also returned canned foods and will only be ordering any of the brands if a customer insists.

He got a smidge testy, but really?? If you're feeding a dog or cat a dry food, you mostly switched due to recall and most folks do not want to feed two different brands.

Needles to say, even though it can happen with any food, it certainly did not make my day when I opened that email at work today
