This is Kandi. She is supposed to be a German Shepard/Blue Heeler mix. Our 11 year old whippet mix passed away last November. My son has wanted another dog that is his for a few months. We got her from a local rescue group.

Oh, she is gorgeous -- and yes, lots of shepherd in her!! She and your son are probably best buddies already, right?

She is beautiful! Looks like the two of them will be very happy together, hopefully for MANY years to come.

P.S. My dog is believed to be a German Shepherd x Cattle Dog (among other things, I imagine), and he's the best dog ever... of course, don't we all think that of our pooches?

Adorable! I hope they form a great bond. Every dog we have bought to be one of the kids' dogs have all bonded with my husband or myself. First it was the lab who adored my husband. As a result, my son wanted another dog that would be his. We adopted the basset and he attached himself to me. Sadly, we can't dictate who a dog will like most. The poor kid. I'm sure there is a dog out there for my son someday. He is a young adult and he still wants a dog who will hang out with him, but he'll have to wait until he owns his own home.
