Mine does.... but getting a pic or video of it has been impossible.. I left her in the garage for about two hours one day and when I returned I opened the garage door with the remote.. I had tried to get her to sit up and beg -- so when she saw me getting out of the car she sat up begging with a big smile - I nearly wet myself laughing She does not smile on command - she just does it when she is happy to see me come home or when she sees someone she has not seen for awhile... The problem is she shows all of her teeth and if you do not know her you may freak out... several people have, I have to remember to tell people that...see her pic on my profile page - imagine her showing all her teeth

My red girl ABSOLUTELY smiles! Her momma could smile on command. However, my girl ~only~ smiles when she's truly happy; when we come home, when we get up in the morning, and when I scratch her rump in just the right place. She wrinkles her nose up and shows all her teeth. Sometimes she even whimpers with joy. And always accompanied with a nubbie wiggle!

(excuse the glowing eyes... the flash got to her.)

In the dog world, when a dog relaxes its face and opens its mouth to reveal a relaxed tongue, while wagging its tail (tail wagging is not always a sign of happiness), it is generally accepted as a smile. My one border collie smiles all the time. She is a very happy little girl. My Houla smiles almost as much.

My dogs smile too, but like other poster said, it is really hard to take a picture. The moment I tried to take a picture, they run away. lol
