How sweet! I love them, they are also quite expensive...
I love the short hair since I have to shave down my peke all
the time, but the peke is smaller, easier to carry, (somewhat,
my peke is 20 lbs!) My peke looks like a french bulldog if you
hold up his ears...

Lentil has become an internet celebrity. I follow his FB page.

Rescued pup with cleft palate becomes Internet sensation - TODAY.com

Brotherly Love: Lentil The Dog, Internet Star, Works It For Kids & Pets « CBS Philly

While his story is inspiring and his Person has turned his celebrity into a cause to help kids, I hope Lentil's popularity doesn't cause a run on the breed.

He is a foster dog with French bulldog rescue network. I am one of their volunteers. The rescue group has done the usual stuff as far as publishing hIm on facebook, it just caught on like wildfire.

I've seen so many pictures of Lentil with the kids; he is making quite a difference. Hopefully people will view him in that vein and not the shallow "ohhh, how cyoote! I want one!" We work with a local general rescue; it's awful enough seeing ordinary dogs come through without fearing a run on special breeds because of a movie or commercial ...

They are super cute as far as dogs go, but I'm not a huge fan of the way they are bred. Most of them have to be born by C-section which I think is crazy.

Great picture. I'm seriously considering a Frenchie (a rescue) in future.

Is he able to eat and drink like a normal puppy?
