Today was another volunteering day and I am so tired. I spent the whole day grooming a "Yorkie" that came in. She was matted to her skin and covered in fleas. I personally think she was a Silky Terrier, but her fosters vet said Yorkie...
I thought I'd post pictures of my shaving job. It took me 2 1/2 - 3 hours to finish.

You can't tell how matted she was from the pictures, but trust me every square inch was covered with matts. He name is Angle and I think her foster said she was a little over a year.. I might be wrong though.

She had to be completely shaved down so she was pretty much naked..

She had three applications on her before she was groomed.. and I'm sure they will just die when they see her now. He personality just shined right through the hair. We take in several aps incase some fall through because we have a lot that do.
I just thought I'd share with everyone why you should groom your dog.

Travel'r - No problem at all.. It put a smile on my face too
Karey - Teddie, my dog, bites the brush too. Some dogs just don't like to be groomed. How old is your puppy?
The only thing I can reallyt hink of that usually works is to play with him or take him for a walk before so he's tired. Then sit down after he's relaxed and make that "treat" time where he gets' treats, rubs, scratches.. it becomes a good time.
Jaded - I'm not really a fan of small dogs, but I personally think she looks a lot better after he cut. Pluss is feeling a ton better.

Oh, I think she looks even cuter after her trim!

It's good to see her pink skin, looks like her skin was healthy even if she was all matted .

She had great skin! I was super surprised for the fact she was infested with fleas and matted to the skin all over.
