I' m back in the dating game and on two separate occasions where my date had dogs both nuzzled their heads between my legs upon arriving (I'm female).

At one point at a much later date with with man #2 the dog not only did the same but at another time when me and the guy were about to become intimate the dog hung around close by, then when I undressed it even licked my back and buttocks (me and my partner were on the floor). My partner yelled at the dog to get away in which it did but I couldn't help but wonder if my partner had included the dog in some freakiness with someone else or not.

I'm not a dog owner but wondered is this normal dog behavior with especially male owners?

No, the dog does not want to do anything freaky with you . It's just that dogs' noses are so incredibly more sensitive than ours. Dogs live in a world of scent and odors.

They can pick up pheromones released during sexual interest, they can smell the changes in bodily secretions pre- sex and during sex. With our clothes off, we are just so so much scent appealing to a dog.

In other words, the dog does not find you sexy, but you are extremely more sniffable to him - LOL

And the easy solution is one of those things we call a " door". Tell your male friends to put the dog behind one and close it prior to getting frisky.

Two rooms away is even better. No nosing and pawsing under the door that way.

I would consider that to be normal dog behavior...they are curious about you and smell is one way that they get to know you.

I don't know if the owner's behavior is normal or not, but I personally kick the pups out of the room when I am going to have some quality time with my guy. One of my dogs got very upset once when my husband at the time came up behind me and hugged me. I think she thought he was attacking me or something...who knows what she would do if I let her hang around when there is more than hugging going on.

If it doesn't occur to your date to close the door, there is nothing wrong with you requesting that he do so before the dog has a chance to "get in on the action".

All dogs get more interested when you are on the floor. More at their level or something.

One of my dogs ate the unwrapped condom we'd momentarily put on the nightstand. It was the last one. We were SOOOOOO cranky with him. Once we stopped laughing hysterically, that is.
