She rescued him as much as he rescued her. A beautiful story.

I would trust the dog and in time she would trust me. I would have no problem with her in my home.

I worked at a shelter many years ago and some of the dogs that came in were so badly abused, suffering, injured and
neglected and longed for love so badly, we would always shed some tears. Yes, they can make wonderful pets.

What a beautiful story. I will NEVER understand how some people can be so cruel to animals.

People who do things like that to animals should be put in jail for the rest of their lives. If you can do things like that to a helpless dog, it is only a short stroke to doing things to people and kids.

We make it a habit when it is time for another dog to get them from a shelter and seek out the ones who were abused. Ever dog we have had that were abused turned out to be the most loyal, gentle an loving friend.

That second photo makes me sick....and makes me feel violent towards those who did this to that poor little dog. I hope there is a hell and they fester and rot in it.

I absolutely would trust that dog. I had a severely abused foster dog. She is now in the home of friends with 2 small children. It was the best placement for her - she is the most loving dog. I had her for 6 months and in that time she learned to trust us - and turned into a sweet, gentle, loving dog. What a difference in her from being an animal who was afraid to act, who cowered easily and had little joy to the lively fun dog who just loves everyone!

It takes time and patience but abused, scared dogs can be turned into loyal, loving companions.

Do not get me started on those who abuse animals. I cheer every single time the team that employs that vick creature loses. Every loss is deserved simply for hiring such scum.
