My 3 month old Pit Bull puppy threw twice and it smell and look like feces. I change his food from Benefuls to Puppy Chow about three weeks ago. He is upbeat and acts the same. We tried feeding him again and he threw up again this time it was yellow with undigested food. He is in his Kennel during the day! goes out side early morning and evenings. Any suggestions!
Has he been wormed yet? Another thought, feed smaller meals more often. WOuld perhaps look into changing his food to something more substantial than Beneful or Puppy Chow, look for something w/ no corn, soy or wheat, there's a lot out there.

There are a few issues here - not just the dog throwing up.
The yellow - if it is bright yellow - is a mixture of excess stomach acid and bile. This comes back up with whatever it is that's in the dog's stomach that isn't/can't be digested and the body wants rid of it. That, insofar as dog's throwing up, is normal.
Feeding your pup commercially available dog food just after it's thrown up twice is not a good idea. You pup is still very young and throwing up screws up the electrolyte balance as well as depriving the body of fluids. Ensure its water intake is adequate at the very least. If the pup is hungry after some hours have passed, some plain boiled chicken would be easily digested.
It sounds suspiciously like your dog ate some of his own poop - if the dog is kenneled alone and has no other contact with other animals. It all needs to come back up.
However - and I make no apologies for saying this - to leave a 12 week old puppy from morning until evening alone in a kennel is just grossly, grossly unfair to the dog.
Another thought, has your puppy been to the vet and is it current on shots - ? Was just reading another thread about a puppy who had similar suggestions and not to scare you but parvo was suggested.
One of my dogs did this, I thought he had diarrhea but later I saw him vomit this stuff. It was gross! and he needed antibiotics from the vet. Hope your puppy is OK by now.
I second what fivehorses said, you can't leave a puppy that age all day long in a crate. It's not fair to the dog. This is a critical age for a pup and they need LOTS of interaction, contact and exercise. When you get a puppy, you are investing in a dog.
My first thought is Parvo as well. There is a new strain going around that's affected dogs that have been vaccinated, and puppies particularly are at a very high risk of death from it.
I also agree that you shouldn't kennel such a young puppy for so long. Block off a room you can cover in newspaper at the very least and leave him tons of toys to play with. It's the least you can do for him.
