Last night my little Bichon dog kept huffing and puffing at the front door. We always let her out the back so this was weird. Turns out a package my wife ordered had arrived that day while we were at work.

She earned her food for another while for sure. Let's hear about why your dogs are great and how they earn their keep.

Your dog is very smart!
One of my dogs woke me up twice in the night when my other dog was very sick and vomiting. They're devoted to each other, and that was touching to me. They snitch on the cats when they misbehave (they learn the cats' rules more quickly than their own it seems!). They love the cats, but if one of them is giving the Christmas tree a "I'm getting ready to jump up" look, for example, they bark.
And of course, there are lots of everyday things, like making us all feel very loved. That makes dogs not just great, but necessary, IMO.

If I could teach my wife to sniff my crotch and wiggle her tail every time I came home, I wouldn't need a dog!

As a serious post, because they will sit and politely listen without judgement when I really need someone to just sit and listen and not judge.

because of their unconditional love and because of their adorable little quirks and habits that make me laugh EVERY SINGLE DAY..... even if I was on the verge of violence with them in the wee hours of the morning when one wanted to play and another wanted out to the front porch.....

J/K about the violence thing!!
