We have not fed rawhide bones in years due to not only the risk of intestinal blockage but due to the fomaldehyde used in the process of making the rawhide (not to mention that many are made in China).

I've never given my dog a rawhide. I've read too much about intestinal blocks, contaminated pieces, etc.

I prefer to give my dog real beef bones and stuffed Kong toys.

I've been buying my dogs the small version of these. They'r about the diameter of a cigarette. Sounds like that's been a bad idea! What would you recommend instead?

a lot of people swear by raw bones from the butcher but my guys are white indoor sissy dogs and I don't want raw bones in the house. They don't have anything now but they once liked bully sticks and nyla bones. Don't know what the current scoop is on these. Anybody?

As far as I know bully sticks and nyla bones are fine but maybe someone has more information. Why would anyone feed their dogs rawhide after all the info has been out for years about the internal damage they can do is kind of strange to me

I fed my dogs rawhide because "everyone's done it, forever". It literally never crossed my mind to question it, and I'm a skeptic about almost everything! Now that I know better, I'll do better!
