Ugh, so much drama in these types of posts. Just FYI, I don't click on links on CD posts that don't give any other info. How do I know whether or not you get paid for hits to some website, or if the website collects my personal data or puts cookies on my computer, etc.? Why don't you post the info in your own words, and give your personal opinion. Otherwise, you're just inviting me to leave CD. Aren't forums for discussion? This is a pet peeve of mine. Posts that just put a link up to some other site.

But, without reading your link, I give my dog peanut butter, I never read the label, and she's amazingly healthy.

Okay, end rant.

so if I used my own words and opinion people would ask for a link. Can't win. and do you think a CD poster with 36,000 rep points is selling something? Paranoid much?

This is a fact-no opinion is necessary. Just a friendly warning but hey...heed it or not. I don't care but some others might.

I'm still waiting for your personal opinion or experience on the subject.

Do you feed your dog peanut butter? Ever had one die from it?

Xylitol in peanut butter? It's a sweetener and it's in TONS of other stuff your dog might be eating too.

I'm in the 'don't get obsessive about checking every little thing' club.

Who peed in your Cheerios?

As evidenced by the other responses in this thread, many dog owners are unaware that even tiny amounts of Xylitol are toxic to dogs.

This is particularly critical considering that many people use peanut butter liberally to stuff kongs, smear on treats, and give by the spoonful. Given the amount of peanut butter we give our dogs, the possibility of poisoning from Xylitol is a real possibility.

Even in small amounts Xylitol is toxic for dogs. I am not sure why you feel that because it is in TONS of other stuff that it is ok for your dog to ingest.

You may not be obsessive about checking ingredients on products you feed your dog, but this is one thing you may want to pay attention to.
