Pretty adorable little gal! She's a German short haired pointer, but her lineage is 100% Deutsch Kurzhar. She'll be our first DK and will join the family with the other two GSP's we own.

We lost our Basenji a few months ago, and our friend who runs a GSP kennel wanted us to take a girl from this new litter. Great sire and dam, very well tempered and excellent in the field. How could we say no? Lol. We named her 'Black Pearl'. We'll just call her Pearl.

Been pretty active with my other two. Monday's and Friday's I get up at 4:30 and hike with to the lake over the hill from our place- 9 miles round trip, 1,500 ft elev gain.. I take Dutch (our female) Mondays and Schnitzel the Wonder Dog on Fridays. Time to get their pads toughened, stamina up and waterwork in. I plan on hunting 10-15 mile days this fall, so they need the work.

Looks like I'll have to squeeze another lake training day in there next summer.

Dutch

Big Schnitzel-

So sorry about your loss. Your Basenji was a lucky one be able to live in that beautiful Montana country.

Your little Pearl is adorable. I love when dogs get to do what they were bred for.

I washed my old '72 Chevy K20 and they were in the back as soon as I dropped the gate! They know the season is coming up, lol.
