I called the vet to see if they had any over the phone advice and they wouldn't tell me anything. What can be done? Thank you.

^^^ This. What o are describing can be serious complications of serious disease, or it could be minor. A vet visit would b worth the peace of mind. There is nothing to do over the counter unless you have a diagnosis.

Is this the same dog that just got put on phenobarbital? Big side affect is being tired. Not sure about the cough though.

thankfully she stopped. I do think it was a side affect of her phenobarbital drugs.
