I usually ignore the barrage of idiots on Craigslist, but this one made me laugh out loud... apparently Yorkie puppies usually go for $6500 (are they made of gold??), and live 25-30 years!! Scary thing is that this person is breeding dogs, while clueless and/or lying about them. I'm going with the former.
Males and females , all are pets and live indoors . some are fix and neutered while some are not fixed . They play well all together of course , but I do Not expect someone to be able to get all . They love cats & dogs . They are good with most people . Anyone who knows Yorkie puppies understands they may love you instantly or may take a few days to get to know you and trust you . Typical .
They eat a wide variety diet 3 times per day . Fresh fruits and veggies , with steamed veggies , as well as bake chicken , eggs and Yorkie puppies biscuits ( they are spoiled )! They love toys and blankets !
Baby Yorkie puppies prices are around $6500.00 on up . We are asking a very very reasonable rehoming fee of just $350 each and will be happy to work with you if you are open to & wanting to get more than one .Yorkie puppies live 25-30 years and are family members more so than a " pet" please be prepared ! They are young and will be with you the next 30 years or so .
Only rehoming due to unforeseen circumstances .
I love how they try to make it sound like a "rescue" situation, but who has a whole gaggle of Yorkies? Maybe 2 or 3, but enough to have "males and females; some neutered some not" sounds like a breeder getting out of the business. And I use the term "breeder" lightly, of course.
You know, I defend CL a lot more than I want to, just because more than a few CL dog listings are legit. And CL is the best venue.
But on this one? Oy - got to agree wit ya here - THIS is a "back-yard breeder" of the worst stripe. Keep in mind I have no problem with somebody deciding to breed their dog - IF they (the human) is halfway intelligent and at least a little rational about it. I hate to see some rat-tailed poor excuse for a (Name-your-breed) get bred because the owner has no clue. But many people are a little more rational, and often enough, "back-yard breeder" might be accurate, but regarding them as bad is not.
I acknowledge some of them have good intentions, and there is certainly a “worse” type of BYB - but none are doing any service to the pet population, and should leave breeding to the REAL (like AKC-certified) professionals. That’s just my opinion, though.
But yeah, this one is pretty bad! And do they really believe their dogs could live to 30? I only wish that were true...
Sounds like they are trying to place dogs that are older in forever homes & also have some pups. As for the 1st price of $6500 Well it Does grab attention! Then pricing the pups for a More Reasonable $350 As for the age my GF Yorkie lived to 26 years old!! Dusty was healthy up to his last year... BTW Most Toy breed life span Is 20-25 years! Giant breeds about 10 years old.
