What's wrong with right here? I have truly enjoyed blogging here and reading others posts.

Are you wanting to meet people in person??? If you are seeking the "in-person" route, then why don't you locate local dog parks, obedience schools (always meet neat people there in addition to furthering your dog's training), look for local dog events/competitions, contact your local rescue groups see if you can get involved in some way you feel comfortable with, etc.
