This morning was my favorite type of day to take the dogs on a beach walk. Overcast and cool. We had the beach to ourselves and a few others so it was nice. Dazzle was a bit sore as he nosed open the bedroom door yesterday after I left him up there to run down stairs to get something. I heard him flying down the stairs and though Oh no and sure enough he wiped out on the last 5 steps. Because of the osteosarcoma in his right hip a fall like that could be deadly for him so I do not let him do stairs alone. I got him up and he did not want to put weight on the back right leg so I medicated him to help with any pain and crossed my fingers that he would be ok. This morning before his morning meds he was a bit sore but is using the leg so after his meds we headed to the beach. As we neared the beach he sang his hound song of joy and he had fun playing in the water, Now back home he is sound asleep on his dog bed and all is right in the world for another day.

I have mentioned in previous post that I have him on a cannabis protocol and I am so happy I decided to deal with his osteosarcoma with that and a keto diet as instead of spending his days at vets he is out having fun. I think I am in more pain from my bad knee most days then he is from his cancer despite the fact Osteosarcoma is a very painful cancer. The only issues I have had with the marijuana is recently we went up on the potency so his night time FECO is 3:1 ( THC: CBD) and day time oils are 2:1 and the first day despite cutting amounts in half to slowly work them back up he got a bit high from the daytime oil so was crying and screaming and not wanting to move so I calmed him and sat with him while he slept it off and since then he has done fine and is living his best life. I see no signs of it having spread yet. Each day is a gift and I have the medical marijuana to thank for that.

Ms Texas Chaos, my super model!

Those pups are looking good. Glad to hear the update on Dazzle, those overcast days are the best for playtime.
