It's not a pleasant job, but have you tried feeding her by hand? My brother's lab goes off his food when he's stressed, but will usually eat a full meal when they feed him from their hand.

Yes—I don’t have a problem being subservient to my dog
I feed her by hand a lot of the time

She had vet apptment today at 930
So I woke her up at 730 to give her Carafate by syringe
And after the hour’s wait (and a short walk) I gave her a tab of Alprazolam so she wouldn’t be stressed at the vet but she wouldn’t eat
The vet checked her mouth but didn’t see anything obviously wrong like bad tooth—
Said that her urine test didn’t indicate any UTI or crystals
And didn’t say she was dehydrated

When we got home she was willing to eat because the alprazolam had kicked in
Ate a good breakfast but she did seem to be eating a little gingerly initially
Drank fish broth and water when she was eating

Talked to the vet and we are going to use Alprazolam and a collar that emits pheromones to calm her and see if that will help w/her anxiety and enhance her appetite

I don’t know if the collar will have much impact but willing to try
Gave her 1/2 alprazolam when she wouldn’t eat initially and once that kicked in she ate good supper n drank water w/the food...

OP, check with your vet

I also use the Big Dog Waterer to cycle water constantly thru a replaceable filter

Vet recommended it too
