With our pup we gave her a pill just before we boarded that helped her sleep the entire time.

Drugs that make a dog relax or sleepy also depress breathing. This can be dangerous when combine with the thinner air on an airplane.

We flew with the corgis just fine. I must say that it was very uneventful. They are now happily playing with their cousins in Phoenix.

Here is a picture of one of them in the carrier on the plane.
