I am going to foster some young 8 week old puppies in a few days and I have to find a used play pen and im wondering what they go for these days ? the foster agency is not paying for the play pen but the lady who came to the house told me to go get a used one . Just wondering if anyone knows what they are going for these days ? thanks

How would anyone know what one might go for in your area? Why don't you ask the foster agency? Local dog breeders? A local shelter or other rescue? They probably know more than anonymous members on a web forum.
That is very nice of you and I am surprised they are not offering assistance I would see if maybe you have a nextdoor or freecycle or something local like that and ask if anyone has one to give? I would think that a used one should not be more than $25 if that. Hope I am not misleading you.

I agree with this. If you have NextDoor or Front Porch Forum, or similar, I'd put the word out that you are looking for a used playpen. Tell people what it's for and I bet you come up with one quickly - perhaps even for free. (I too hope I'm not misleading you!)
Open the pet edge website and look for exercise pens. That is what is suitable and safe for dogs and they aren't terribly expensive. Pet edge sells a good product and they are reliable to order from.
Play pens that are Wooden DONT work puppies can walk thru the bars. I put wire on the old porta crib I got for Lady-Bug BTW the crib cost $15 but took 2.5 Years to find! Check out my pictures ... https://www.city-data.com/forum/memb...-crib-lol.html

Just for reference for this poster . I did ask the lady at the foster said she had no idea as all have been donated to the foster . I did call around to other rescues and they were the same way . But thanks for the suggestion .
Check your local thrift store.
True story - When I had a young puppy that I wanted to keep with me in my studio, I went to a thrift store. I ask the sales lady if she had any play pens/ pack & play etc. She said no, but I have these (with a little laugh) and pointed to 3 different dog crates. I replied "that is perfect!" She gave me a horrified look and said she won't sell them to me ... until I explained it really was for a puppy.
