Yes, because it is out in the open and people are rarely there. So social distancing is in place.

It's part of the five or six way booster shot.

But it's not the same coronavirus. We've all had coronavirus infections before (10% of common colds), but not COVID-19 which is a Betacoronavirus. It's like saying "Feline." That can mean a housecat, or it can mean a Lion or Tiger. Similar, but not really.

Yes, of course respecting social distance etc. Why not? We do NOT go to dog parks.

My dog walks me. Sometimes he takes me down the block. Sometimes he takes me up the block. He walks me all over the neighborhood. We avoid other people and other dogs. I wave and nod. He wags his tail and whimpers. But we social distance.

I'm a nurse and I have not stopped walking my dog since covid19. We're all in different parts of the world, so each situation is going to be unique. Remember Covid19 isn't hiding around a bush, ready to jump up and attack us. If you go to a crowded park, yes there's a risk. If you are walking around an empty sidewalk, where is the risk? There is not much data on how long covid19 lingers in the air, but, it is not an airborne disease such as TB or measles. The difference is that airborne particles are very small, so they can hang around in the open air. Covid19 particles are larger, and can't "float" in the air. If someone is nearby (6 ft) and coughs or even just talks, that's enough to spread droplets.

So I hope this gives you some peace of mind, that you and your dog are able to safely enjoy the outdoors, you just have to be aware of your surroundings and cognizant of others enjoying the outdoor space as you.

I was going to ask you if you were a nun in another life and beg you not to whack me with your ruler.

And if you know this then you knew when you posted your condescending and unhelpful words that what is in the 5 way isn't the same thing and has nothing at all to do with the OP's concerns about the current pandemic.

Actually.. there is such a thing. My stateside dog gets his corona and bordetella shot along with his rabies, flu and annual booster. Those two are a must if you dog is going to a dog park, doggie day care or boarding kennel.
