Hi All
Looking for seasoned advice here on the subject of dog food.
I rescue and foster dogs Moderator cut: directing traffic to a personal website is not permitted
Usually the rescue group gives me food (Pedigree, Natural Choice) but another group I work with said these are not quality food, mostly manufactured by large candy companies for mass commercial sales.
Here are the choices at Pet People, a higher grade store imo that a PetCo from what I can tell.
Keep in mind I get Red Listed dogs from the LA Shelter and they are dewormed, & fixed. Not sure what diet they get, probably low quality and want a food that isn't a shock to their system. I don't have them long enough for long-term care.
Thank you so much. Moderator cut: deleted reference to personal website
Bye.

Reason: Please, no advertising on C-D...
There are several recent threads on C-D that have had lengthy discussions about dog foods that will probably satisfactorily address your questions. Here's one: //www.city-data.com/forum/dogs/...-dog-food.html.
To find others, search the threads for "dog foods" and you'll get quite a listing!
Thanks...I knew it had to be popular. I tried to delete this thread for that reason but couldn't find how.
