What beautiful pup pictures, both posters!
I wouldn't worry about the dog's mix regarding temperment, and would just learn who she is as an individual (and work with her for good behavior).
It's my understanding that no young children should be left alone with a dog- ever, regardless of the dog's breed or mix. And a young dog will be nippy/playful anyway. Keep all the young un's safe!
I was thinking husky not lab in her.. Akita's like pitbull's just got a bad rep. If socialized and raised with little one should all be good and if anything a protector of the family. Dogs are made mean,by lack of attention and affection, training or abuse. You are starting off with socializing which is a big thing to do with any dog. Socialize after gets shots with both other dogs and people. Stay the master and never let dog take control.
I truly agree with you. Dogs are not born to be mean, they are raised that way, and have been mistreated. I was thinking Akita and yes they have gotten a bad rap also, i have heard from others, don't get an Akita they are mean with children. I don't believe this, it is all how the animals are raised, i know this dog will get plenty of love and affection. You are starting out your beautiful new pet, with the right surroundings. I do agree with that you should always be in control, not the dog controlling you, although so cute, i can see how this would happen.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there was some cattle dog in your dog. Whatever she is, she is a doll! : )
