Hey y'all, happy 2009. Just wondering if anyone "celebrates" with/for their furry ones? Right now, I got three gnawing dogs in the other room, so so happy with their special bones, and one sleeping at my feet having already devoured the marrow out of his On Christmas, they got the same. Which is not to say they don't get random "special treats," but certainly when it's a special day they do for sure. (And yes, I know not to leave them unattended while eating bones.)
Anybody else do something special with their dogs?
Just another day in doggie paradise - whic is to say, home with me, going out when they want, warm and well-fed, and me keeping them company. Err, from a human standpoint, them keeping them company!
Our little protector is 2 years old today. and, he is definitely acting like a 2 year old child. little brat. birthday ice cream is on the menu, frosty paws.

Yep, mine are spoiled too! I always replenish those bones with the marrow stuff in it. Somehow they lick that stuff out so quick! I also have a huge cookie jar and make sure it is filled every week for them. Everytime they come in from their time outside they get a treat. That is the way I train them to come back to the door should someone open my gate to my yard unbeknownst to me and they get out! They will come right to the door for their treat!
This was Porkchop's first New Year and he celebrated it in style:
