Some dry foods are better then others. There are so many quality foods out there these days. Both puppy foods and all life stages foods. If you feed a good food you don't have to always feed a puppy food, but the choice is yours.

For the least amount of poop with very little odor would be a raw diet IMO. The amount of poop is significantly smaller. Small firm stools sizes and less of them going all together.

My mom buys Blue Buffallo dog food for her new puppy. I read the ingredients and the first two was beef and chicken. I heard somewhere that if the first two ingredients were meat, then its okay for your pet.
