I heard about this story from one of my dog friends. This message was shown to her by myspace profiles, Advoacate for saving dogs, Lost pets, Adovocate for dogs, Animal Rights Movement, and Tatooed Animal Lovers. Also sign this petition if you can!!!

Here is the story:
Hardened police officers have been shocked by the horrifying torture, mutilation and brutal slaying of a seven month old fox terrier puppy near Mackay at the weekend.
If found guilty, they could face up to two years in prison. Police have obtained video footage from a mobile phone which shows graphic images of the puppy yelping and howling in terrible pain as it hacked to pieces with garden shears and a pocked knife.
They said the owners were too distressed to talk to anyone about it.
The pups nose was cut off, its front right leg and rear left leg were cut off and it was decapitated. A three-part video series on a mobile phone shows the dog being tortured.
The maximum penalty under the Animal Care and Protection Act for such an offence is $75,000 or two years in jail; however the maximum penalty ever handed out has been a four month jail term.
This is such a terrible story!!!I can't believe that they did that!!! |

Oh my, I got nauseated just reading the post without even going to the story. Those people need to be put away for good - if they can do this to a puppy it is hard to imagine what else they could do.

If you are guilty of torturing any living thing to death, you should get the death penalty
Why would it matter if it is human or not?

Yet another reason ( as if we needed more) that the Animal Legal Defense Fund (Great people and Animal Lawyers like Washington State's Adam Karp are involved) is getting my donations once I get back working!
I also LOVE VIGILANTES, and they can be heroes. I hope they are waiting around the corners for this feces. (sorry for insulting feces.)

Wow, I think I saw spots while reading and my heartbeat raced. That is horrible.
I do hope that this incident is taken seriously - violence to animals is very disturbing and is a clear indicator of a link to eventual human violence. Not as if one or the other is worse...all the same to me.
