I believe there is a solid gold food, but this is a supplement with cranberry and blueberry extract for dogs and cats that are prone to struvite crystals. It's a powder that you add to their food.

The first 10 ingredients to Solid Gold Millennia Beef & Barley Adult Dog
  • Beef
  • Beef Meal
  • Cracked Pearled Barley
  • Brown Rice
  • Millet
  • Rice Bran
  • Canola Oil
  • Ocean Fish Meal
  • Tomato Pomace
  • Flaxseed
No by-products, no corn or grains, no added salt, low fat content, and everything is easily digestible. Sold Gold is a good quality kibble, but the number of protein sources are rather limited, and there are no probiotics.

Solid Gold includes cranberries and blueberries, as well as chicory root and Yucca Schidigera extract.

The chicory root and yucca schidigera extract isn't on the jar that I have. We must be looking at two different products.

Product List

It's the same company. Click on supplements and you will see the very first one is Berry Balance. Thats the one I'm talking about. It's a powder that you add to their food.

Well, not exactly a jar, It's a small round container.

I used to stick with Solid Gold for my Golden, as it was the only product line he could tolerate without breaking out into hot spots.

I never tried the Berry Balance (I don't think they offered it back then), but I did use the SeaMeal supplement.

Even if you get no replies from people who have tried it, get some anyway. I felt this was a good company and their products always lived up to their promises.

Thanks! I did order it. They seem to have a lot of good info on their web site. I had heard of Solid Gold dog food but didn't realize it was the same company that made the Berry Balance until I looked at the link that Shelby posted, I was to busy looking in the supplement dept. to even notice that they had dog food until now. Anyway.........I will try the powder and hope it helps.

Thanks everyone.
