Working from home and eating apple slices as a snack - LillyBug came over to see what i had. Gave her a nibble and she seems to like them. Brat dog has never been interested in them.

any other fruits that she might like?

My dogs loved bananas! Now that my dog is on prednisone her appetite is increased so she’ll eat absolutely anything, but basically I just avoid citrus fruits and grapes.

Avoid Grapes. They are toxic to dogs.

My dogs have liked apples, watermelon, blueberries and bananas.

My one dog will eat anything. Iceberg lettuce is his favorite though, I think he likes the crunch.

My other dog is confused by a lot of human food. I'll give her a blueberry, and she'll take it into the other room and start rolling it around with her nose. I'm sure she's thinking "I don't know why she gave me such a tiny ball, but I guess I'll play with it."

My dogs love Clementines...it is one of two "people" foods that I give to my dogs that they also see me eat. The other is string cheese. Both of these are "shared" treats for us.

My first dogs loved apples, cucumbers, bananas, clementines and pretty much any fruit or veggie. My current dogs think I'm an idiot for eating anything but meat or cheese.

^^^ This - and don't forget veggies. My pup loves a treat of a couple of baby carrots.

Yes, definitely avoid grapes. Our dogs have liked some oranges and clementines, though, as mentioned.

But one of the most hilarious expressions I have ever seen was after our steroid-ravenous dog was begging me for some of the grapefruit slices I was eating. I told her, "You are NOT going to like this, but okay - here you go." She took it in her mouth and then immediately spit it out and looked up at me like, "You put that in your MOUTH???"

My sister used to feed her golden retriever corn on the cob. He was crazy for it. She did have to hold it for him as he nibbled away at the corn just like people do. I wonder if he wanted to floss afterwards?

I've often wondered if our pets envied our hands in situations like that.

I know my cat "asks" for me to do things for her that she can't do because no hands.
