Please send this to Collie Rescues and All breed rescues as well as Animal Control in the area so they will be aware to look out for the dog. I hope she's found safe.

You might also list it on [url=http://www.petfinder.com]Petfinder.com[url] in their classifieds (free), and check all the shelters in the area. Just put in your zip code to find those closest to you.

Petfinder.com also has a 'found' section in their classifieds, so check those listings as well.

Also, keep in mind that sometimes someone passing through might pick up the dog, not know the area, and take the dog to their own area shelter which might be some distance from you, so petfinder.com is a good additional place to visit for both lost and found.

Good luck. Hope you find her safe and sound!

We just rescued a collie from the Pawcatuck RI dog pound, as she was found wandering the streets, and we could not understand how anyone would let this beautiful girl go. We have been searching online to see if anyone posted a missing dog, and in our search I came across this old posting. The ironic thing about your posting is the dog we adopted is estimated to be between 5-7 years of age now - possibly close to what your dog would be, she is a sable, female collie and oddly enough was wearing a pink collar with an untraceable (due to it's age) Rabies tag. Could it be or just ironic? Was your collie a large female?

Unfortunately the OP has not posted since 07. You can probably send an email if you think you have their dog.

Thank you for the reply. I am new to this and I did not see an email address anywhere. Can you advise where I might find it?

The OP posted that the dog was found.
