Another thing, she did mention something called lasix, but said she wanted to hold off to see if the antibiotics cleared it up first.

What kind of cardio testing did they do? Was it an echocardiogram?

Lasix is a diuretic that get's fluid out of the body. My Mom was on it a few times for congestive heart failure. I'm glad you are going for a second opinion. Best of luck!!!!

I know this post was from 6 years ago, but this sounds exactly like what my dog has now. I'm scared for her life we can't figure out what is wrong with her. She is almost 9 years old and I feel like with every day that goes by she is just going to get worse. Should we put her on antibiotics like you did?
