Naala is 3 today!
She's come so far from the little pup who was terrified of human touch. She was taken from a Missouri puppy mill (that was shut down, thankfully) and transported to northern New England, where I fell in love with her. Now we live in Idaho where she continues to enjoy hiking and snow (two of her favorite things).
For whatever reason, we hit it off immediately. But, it was nearly a year before anyone else could get near her and before she would stop having panic attacks if I was more than an arm's length away. The changes really started when I adopted her awesome big brother, Jack. He's just a sweet, happy boy and helped teach her that people can be good and no one will ever hurt her again. She's still shy and people have to earn her trust; but, she's such a wonderful, beautiful, funny, athletic little girl and a great sister to Jack and Abby.
