I assumed the Labradoodle was bred/created as a guide dog. The fur of the poodle doesn't moult coupled with the attributes of the Labrador/Retriever. My understanding was that the mix would be a suitable guide dog for people who are otherwise allergic to dog hair.
Since that time it has become apparent that people are allergic to the dander not dog hair "dunno" but in any event the coat of a Labradoodle is not guaranteed to be that of a Poodle.
I do believe the original idea was meant with good intentions. Its just unfortunate that the idea has sparked a fashion trend, fuelled by the media.
I don't care what name is given or what price tag the dog attracts imo its a mixed breed. All loveable, all make good pets I don't doubt.
The problem is when the fashion trend changes and the dogs end up in rescue centres.
A good responsible breeder imo wouldn't breed these so called designer dogs and a good responsible breeder would take the dogs back if they were no longer wanted.
imo the breeders of designer breeds don't have the dogs interest at heart only their bank balance.
I think the Doodleman is hideous, personally. It looks like any other dog I could pick up at the pound. I hope nobody will pay a bunch of money to have one of these over a Doberman or Poodle.

Thats the point. There is no such thing as a "Doodleman". Its a mutt. For that matter so are the mixes called "Labradoodle", Chiweenie" and the other cutsy names people have come up with to market these dogs. These people are the modern day equivalent of a snake oil salesman! There are no standards for these mixes and they are not recognized as breeds by any qualified canine organization. Charging up to thousands of dollars for a mix???? Never thought I'd see the day......
The Doodleman Pinscher is a very rare breed. They are produced by breeding our Doberman Pinschers to our Standard Poodle.
Um, rare BREED? Not really, it's a glorified mutt.
They can weigh anywhere from 40 to 80lbs as adults.
Translation: We have no idea what you'll end up with since there are no breeding standards. For just $900, you too can own one of these mutts!

However you will not know what coat type and color your Doodleman Pinscher will get untill they have their adult coat. This is around two years of age.
