Our dog is still young and no matter how diligent we are, he gets into things. He goes for the same things over and over, but lately it's pony tail holders (dangerous!) and kleenex. What does your dog get into?
Mine happened yesterday: Styrofoam from a box! I heard a unusual crunching sound and immediately put a stop to it. Hopefully it is the last time Styrofoam is an issue!
dave is obsessed with my reading glasses.... thank goodness they have them at the dollar store..... i have FINALLY gotten in the habit of making sure none of them are ANYWHERE in his line of sight.....
bailey has never been much of a chewer.... although at about 6 months old, she spent several hours one night shredding the front of a sofa .... the skirt and the foam underneath the front part.....
We had a female Bordeaux that loved TV remotes (she demolished 7 or 8 of them). Our current male Brody isn't so bad, although he tried to eat a plastic coat hanger yesterday.
So, the real question should be: what has your dog destroyed? lol
1. shoelaces (my pup loves stringy things for some reason)
2. dog bed destroyed... he managed to UNZIP the cover and destroy all of the foamy cushioning into pieces
3. old apt bathroom door frame... I kid you not.
4. new apt bedroom door frame all scratched up
5. berber carpet... again, stringy things!
6. toilet paper rolls
7. bathroom trash (toilet paper, q tips)
8. the towel I used to cover his crate... two towels, actually.
9. his dog carrier handles! ugh.
10. chewed on two pairs of glasses, (ex's and a friends)
11. toilet plunger (the wooden part)
12. ripped up bathroom shower curtain

Squeakers from squeaky toys. Well, he only ate ONE, but the vet bill ensured that he'd never do it again... I don't buy them anymore.
Other than destroying his toys, Artie's really good -- he doesn't eat or chew on anything in the house. He does forage when we're walking (what? just in case there's a steak on the road?) but he's even good about that when I say to leave it.
So, the real question should be: what has your dog destroyed? lol
When we had both of our Bordeaux puppies, it was enough to make an insurance claim. I can't tell you everything, but:

I've blocked most of it out so I can go on with life.
Shockingly, nothing. Even if we accidentally drop something on the floor and don't pick it up immediately, he won't go near it. Never destroyed his toys, never once chewed on anything of ours, and is not one of those that picks up random things on walks. He's been this way since the day he came home and we are very happy for that. Someone threw out chicken bones on the grass near our house (such a random thing), and PC walked up to them, sniffed, and walked away. My neighbor's dog would have been all over that.
We can leave a pizza box, open, on the floor and PC would not go near it if I told him to stay away. Yes, we tried and were so proud of him!
