HAHAHAHA! After I read the first part of the subject line ("You may now kiss the...dog!") I thought this was going to be a story of someone who legally (???) married their dog.

When I was a groomer on my first day, this spastic pomeranian or such was just dancing around on the table and choked himself with the tie. The head groomer cut the tie and blew air into his mouth and nose and revived him. So, I've seen it with my own eyes.
